Worship is the heart of what we do at Lutheran Church of the Cross. Our worship service is at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday morning.
We are a liturgical church, which means that the service will follow a similar format from week to week. At each service there will be readings from scripture, music-including congregational hymns as well as a choir anthem, a reflection from our pastor and prayers. We celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion on the first and the third Sunday of the month. If there is a fifth Sunday we include in our worship a special service for healing prayer where people are invited to come to the altar and be anointed with oil and prayed for.
Our worship service builds on the strong and creative worship tradition of the Lutheran church. We are blessed with a strong and dedicated volunteer choir and team of dedicated worship leaders. Currently we are using setting 1 from the Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnal (Cranberry hymnal).
Following all of our Sunday worship services you are invited to the Fellowship Hall for refreshments.
